Head Teacher, Grade Four, Lower School
BA University of Oregon
2024-present
Colleen is an award-winning educator with sixteen years of teaching experience. Over the years, she has led her students through many action research projects that have contributed to positive changes in the community (for example, the banning of plastic bags) and has created transdisciplinary curriculum projects that celebrate diversity and provide opportunities for service learning. Colleen’s work developing project-based curriculum at the All Saints Episcopal Day School in Hoboken led her to be named the 2016 New Jersey Nonpublic School Teacher of the Year by the New Jersey Council for American Private Education. When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, who is a sophomore in college, and her husband, who is a scenic artist for film and television. Colleen loves reading, swimming, and exploring the many museums of New York City. She looks forward to collaborating with Trinity colleagues on fourth grade curriculum and to helping fourth grade students become more curious about New York City and its wonderful history. Colleen is thrilled to be joining the Trinity community.
