Teacher of English, Upper School
BA Brown University; MA, PhD Stanford University
2024-present
A native of the Boston area, Mari has lived in New York since 1989—with a hiatus of a few years in California for graduate school—and in Brooklyn Heights since 1997, so she considers herself a New Yorker. Mari taught English at a Long Island public school and at several New York City private schools, including Saint Ann’s School, The Abraham Joshua Heschel School, and, most recently, The Packer Collegiate Institute. In her free time, she can be found wandering around Brooklyn with any combination of her three children, husband, and dog. Mari enjoys swimming laps, biking to the Rockaways for a beach day, reading, or working on her recently acquired knitting skills. She is thrilled to be joining Trinity’s English Department.
